Today was a pretty chill day by my standards. I decided to spend the weekend at Ashley's house, because I haven't really visited with her in awhile. She didn't really have a photoshoot scheduled for today, but somehow managed to find a newborn baby for us to photograph. So that was what we did for the better part of our morning/afternoon. Newborn babies are just the sweetest! They are so tiny and seem so fragile. Just the thought of such a young little life, only days old, right in my arms is amazing to me. I always feel honored to be able to capture such an important time in someone's life.
Newborn shoots take a pretty long time. Sometimes like three or four hours or even more! But stopping for feedings and diaper changes and lulling the little ones back to sleep takes up the majority of that time, typically. It certainly takes a lot of patience!
Anyways, after our shoot we were very hungry, so we headed out to a place called Logan's Roadhouse. They have these delicious mini cheeseburgers called Roadies, which we both ordered. Yum! I always take the pickles off and give them to Ashley, though. Haha.
There is an Old Navy relatively close to Logan's, so we decided to pop in there. We were both pretty disappointed in their clothing selection for women, to be honest, but we sure did find a bunch of darling clothes for little girls! Funny how that works out, eh?
The rest of the day we kind of just hung out and watched movies. Eat Pray Love being my favorite of the evening. I've seen it once before and I loved it then, as well. Such a quotable movie, and I do love quotes! And I really feel like the lessons learned in that story couldn't have been presented to me at a better time, coincidentally. Some things I really needed to hear, which offer a lot of food for thought for my Sunday, I'm sure.
